Exercise for Older People

For the last seven or so years a varying group of people has met on Saturday mornings to do balance and gait work for an hour supervised by the wonderful physiotherapist Kumari Dias. Initially this group was designed for people with Parkinson’s and their family and friends but about 4 years ago it was decided to open the group to  any locals who wanted to join in . This has allowed the group to go from strength to strength with nearly always over 20 people present  and participating. There is  always a lot of laughter and chat and an opportunity to catch up over a tea or coffee afterwards.
